We designed, built and painted this chopper/bobber inspired cruiser and donated it to be auctioned off at Scarlett Fever 5. Scarlett Fever is an benefit for Scarlett James' special needs and to help raise Rett Syndrome Awareness. This years event was put together by Gearhead Magazine, Skoty Chops Customs and the World-renound, Road Lords Car Club. It's an honor to be a part of the cause. Can't wait to find out who the lucky winner is.We're very pleased with the finished product and glad this build is done.

If you're gonna be a Bear, be a Grizzly.
I think that's what Bill "Junior" Parkman of the Chopaderos BC had in mind when he envisioned this beast. Junior reached out to fellow club member; Gary of Lowlife Bikes to fabricate a custom frame to hang these huge 36" Coker rollers from. Once the frame was complete, it was covered in heavy metal-flake for more bling (as if the wheels didn't make enough of a statement) The photos don't do this bike justice. You have to park your cruiser in this monsters shadow to really understand its massiveness. It makes your cruiser look like it should have training wheels...

Of course it's for sale, I'm glad you asked... $1400 or best offer.
Can't wait to see what Junior cranks out after this build is gone. Til' then...

This was a last minute re-build that was put together for our show back in June. The bike was originally built for Chris Coddington, then shipped back for a make over. (here's what it used to look like) It hung in the rafters for a couple of years.

The day before our show, I thought... Hmmm... I should paint that fucker and roll it out to the show.

Here are pics from the day after our event. The bike is nearing its completion and will be at the Cow Palace on November 6, 2010 for the SF Bike Expo.

Just got these back from the powder coater... They came out bitchin'! Patience and time is all we need to get these builds done. First up is a 1974 Yamaha Moto-Bike Type A, this is one of the 20,000 or so produced in the first series of these bikes. Second is a 1974-75 A&A (now A&A Racing) Twin-Shock Moto Cycle X, a rare bird which was part of a 1 year run of about 2,000 bikes. That run of 2,000 also included a Rigid and a Mono-Shock.

The Altamont Cruisers put on an annual show in Downtown Livermore, Ca. It's an interesting mix of rides... Anything from a Flamed Nissan 350Z with a triple decker billet rear spoiler and matching flame pattern wheels to 70's Muscle rolling Cragars wrapped in GT Qualifiers to period Customs and Hot Rods. And plenty of fake babies with backward baseball caps and overalls resting up against the front bumper of every other ride...

I stumbled upon this Monster today... 124" Turbo-charged Dyna.. Apparently, this thing blew apart a spoke wheel that was rated to 200mph. The guy was out on a shake down run on the cast Electra Glide replacement. I heard at 2lbs. of boost it's pretty tough to hang on... I can't even imagine it at 5-6lbs. of boost. It'll be at the Mojave Mile this weekend. This thing holds a couple of Land Speed Records, check out: http://raycwheeler.com/ for more info.

What a weekend! The cruise was full of bad ass bikes and cooler people Saturday. Sunday we set up shop at Fremont park and the show turnout was great. Ted of the Chopadero's Bicycle Club and Mike from Vintage Bicycle Supply put together a solid event. We took home 2 awards and also were presented with the "Special Guest" award. Looking forward to next year, hope it's cooler!

Triple digits didn't stop everyone from a cruiser ride Saturday. We unloaded the bikes at the hotel, hooked up with "The Other's" Bicycle Club and rolled with them to Suzie's Burgers to meet up with everyone else. We had a few cold pitchers of beer and went for a ride.... we rode about a block and made the first stop which was a bar. Cruised to the Capitol,took a group picture, then cruised into Old Town Sacramento. Thanks to Ted of the Chopadero's for putting the cruise together, we had a blast.

2010 Sea Otter Classic

We made our first trip out to the annual Sea Otter Classic at Laguna Seca Raceway on Saturday, April 17th. This event is mostly geared towards Mountain and Road bikes, but showcased everything in between. The sun was shining, the place was jam packed with two wheelers and miles of Spandex. We captured a few rides that were Cruiser/Chopper related and a few other interesting things. Shot the breeze with our show sponsors, Schwalbe Tires, A'ME Grips and wrapped the day with some beer and beats in the RideSFO booth.

Say 24" wheels and most would picture a high dollar SUV, a Chrysler 300 or something circa 1973 that's kandy painted and lifted for clearance of imported cast chrome plated heavyweight rollers.

The Sons of Boyd have brought it to another level... Check out the 2-piece forged aluminum 24x15" Genuine Boyds F-09 on the ass end of this 2010 Camaro. The front sits nice on matching 22x8.5's.

Here's a Two-tone Roadglide I painted a while back... Mike FINALLY sent me a few pics of the bike put together. The photos don't do the color justice. I laid down some metallic red base, covered that in Gold MBC, then covered all that in Apple Red Kandy. The top half of the bike is Black Crystal and striping is two different shades of grey. Two tone on a Bagger takes double the time and lining everything up is a motherfucker but, worth it. The bike looks killer in the sun...
